Sub: “Deo Karan Samman” award for the best entrepreneur of the state.
Dear Sir,
We would like to inform you that Late Sj. Deo Karan Jhunjhunwala, who was one of the first entrepreneurs of Odisha to have started an industry at Barang (the Glass factory), was always encouraging entrepreneurs to start new ventures and run them well to the best of their efficiency. The birth day of this eminent person falls on 10th December, 2013. In the fond memories of the said legendary person Mr. J. K. Jhunjhunwala, Past President, UCCI and Mr. K. P. Jhunjhunwala, both are the sons of Late Sj. Deo Karan Jhunjhunwala, have desired to announce an award viz. “DEO KARAN SAMMAN” to the best entrepreneurs of the state through DEO KARAN JHUNJHUNWALA CHARITABLE TRUST with a trophy and cash award of Rs. 30,000/- (Rupees thirty thousand) only. This will be an annual award.
For the above purpose, DEO KARAN JHUNJHUNWALA CHARITABLE TRUST is prepared to bear and pay
Rs. 3,00,000/- if necessary more which will be kept in F.D./Trust so that R.s 30,000/- will be available every year to give this award.
The selection for this award will be made impartially by a committee which will comprise of the representatives of the industry associations of the state, representatives of national chambers like FICCI and ASSOCHAM may also be invited and one or two of the family member(s) of Mr. Jhunjhunwala. The award, after proper announcement will be given by the top state or national luminary.
In the above context, a meeting will be organized on 14th December, 2013 (Saturday) at 6.00 p.m. in the Conference Hall of UCCI, Bhubaneswar for announcement of such award and to discuss the modalities thereof.
You are, therefore, requested to please attend the said meeting on the date, time & venue scheduled above & take part in the deliberation.
It may kindly be noted that the meeting will be followed by Dinner to be hosted by Mr. K. P. Jhunjhunwala and Mr. J. K. Jhunjhunwala (Past President, UCCI).
