As a run up to Gandhi Jayanti, in view of the national call given by our beloved Prime Minister for action for 1 hour of citizen-led shramdaan for Swachhata on 01st October, 2023, Sunday, UCCIL Board of Directors and members led by Dr. Brahma Mishra, President, UCCIL joined together to contribute time and labour i.e. Shramdaan on Sunday beginning at around 10 AM in a cleanliness drive in the slum area adjacent to UCCIL campus. Around 50 members including female members of the Women Entrepreneurs Committee joined hands in the cleanliness drive and made the national call a success. Around 11 AM, sealed rice packets were distributed in the same slum area by UCCIL.
