UCCIL ON A BILATERAL TRADE MISSION TO NEPAL

A 45 members delegation of The Utkal Chamber of Commerce & Industry Limited is leaving for Kathmandu on 17th August 2022 on the invitation of Govt. of Nepal. The team comprising of large Industrial houses, MSME, Trade, Agriculture, Food processing, Travel, Mines & Mineral sector shall hold talks with the Nepali business community on 18th August which will be graced by Honorable Minister for Industry, Commerce & Supply, Mr. Dilendra Prasad Badu. Representatives from Federation of Nepal, Cottage and Small Industry, Nepal Chamber of Commerce, Confederation of Nepalese Industry, Federation of Nepal Chamber of Commerce & Industry shall have Business to Business meetings with UCCIL representative from various sectors.

 

In line with our State Govt. Policy and mission “INVEST ODISHA” and Make In Odisha, this delegation will try to explore the common interest in trade between the two countries and to explore the possibility of investment in Odisha.

 

Similarly, the objective of Central Govt. and policy to “Look East” will also be our objective as how best our trade can improve with such meetings between the neighboring countries. Odisha cherishes a very strong relations with Nepal as the King of Nepal has got certain rights to perform the rituals in Sri Jagannath Temple, Puri since time immemorial. This visit will further strengthen the bilateral ties between Odisha and Nepal.

The team expects to meet Honorable Prime Minister of Nepal on a courtesy call. The Indian Embassy in Nepal has welcomed this visit of UCCIL and is coordinating the visit. Odisha Govt. has shown keen interest in this visit and has assured all support.

 

The delegation will be led by Mr. Brahmananda Mishra, President, UCCIL. The whole concept was mooted by Mr. Sanjeev Mahapatra, senior member of UCCIL and closely followed by Mr. Ashok Kumar Sharda, VP, UCCIL so as to clear all requirements of such a bilateral visit. The Delegation comprises of representatives from Tata, Jindal Steel, Gupta Power, T.P Minerals and Mines and many other member units of UCCIL will be having 14 women entrepreneurs which will return back on 20th August 2022.
