UCCIL donates Food-Carts to CP

On the International Day of Drug Abuse, Deaddiction & Illicit Trafficking, Utkal Chamber of Commerce and Industry Limited (UCCIL) in association with Bhubaneswar Police Commissionerate commenced a huge and noble contribution towards the financial settlement and livelihood support of recovering addicts who were clinically treated and rehabilitated with the effort of IIEC DREAMS.

UCCIL donated 20 numbers of food carts and vegetable carts to those former traffickers and addicts who were counselled back to lead a normal life and offered to stand on their own leg and make a place for themselves on the social mainstream.

Mr. Brahma Mishra, the President of UCCIL effectively led the benign project and contribution which was garnered from the industrial fraternity of Odisha.

This noble contribution of UCCIL was aptly lauded by all the dignitaries who graced the stage, Sri. Dillip Routray, IAS, Officer on Special Duty to the Chief Secretary, Government of Odisha, Sri Brahma Mishra, President UCCIL, Sri Ashok Kumar Sharda, Senior Vice President UCCIL, Sri Soumendra Priyadarshi, the Commissioner of Police, Bhubaneswar-Cuttack, Sri Prateek Singh, DCP Bhubaneswar and Sri Sisir Kumar Das, Director IIEC.

The 20 food-carts and vegetable-carts were handed over by Sri Brahma Mishra today, Sunday morning, the 26th of June 2022 during a ceremony conducted at the Commissionerate Head Quarters at Bhubaneswar in presence of all the 20 beneficiaries who have made tremendous efforts to come back to the social mainstream through DREAMS.

    Such initiative, such collaboration is unique in its kind that showcased the cooperation between Government and the Industry sector in a     solidarity of vision and mission towards imparting social responsibility and a holistic upliftment of those who once fell and now are striving to rise. On this august occasion DREAMS seem to come true and seem to realize with new hope and light.
