His Excellency Shri Arun Kumar Sahu, IFS, High Commissioner of India to Port of Spain/Trinidad & Tobago, who is in town currently, visited Utkal Chamber of Commerce & Industry Limited (UCCIL), Bhubaneswar on the invitation of the President of UCCIL Shri Brahma Mishra. Shri Sahu was meeting and addressing the members and other guests of UCCIL today morning, on 25th May 2022 (Wednesday) at 10.30 AM, in the Conference Hall of Utkal Chamber of Commerce & Industry Limited (UCCIL).
Shri. Brahma Mishra, the President of UCCIL presided over the meeting and introduced the distinguished guest of honour, His Excellency, to the floor mentioning his humble beginning and his meteoric rise through the coveted Foreign Services cadre culminating as high as Deputy High Commissioner of India to Canada before becoming the High Commissioner of India to Port of Spain/Trinidad & Tobago.
H.E. Shri Arun Kumar Sahu compared the Canadian administration and Canadian business style with that of the Indian counterparts and said that he will continue to work in progressing the Indian interest anywhere in the world. He gave a lot of emphasis on the new world economy and the surge of IT and Artificial Intelligence that elevated the local industry and trade into a global trend. He gave numerous examples of how young Indian entrepreneurs are making it big everywhere in the world with the enhanced support of IT enable hubs coupled with their impromptu knack for development and growth in a holistic manner. He even suggested his ideas for enabling the security and the entry system at Lord Jagannath temple at Puri and invited the technology hubs to work on it.
Finally, Sri Ashok Kumar Sharda, Vice President (Commerce), UCCIL gave the vote of thanks and said a few words in honour of His Excellency Shri Arun Kumar Sahu, IFS.
